Collins Industrial Distributors Pty Ltd
("Collins") was established in 1986 and has grown
into a leading supplier of industrial consumables to the Engineering,
Mining and Rural sectors in Australia.

Their products are sourced from over two hundred major manufacturers
and suppliers throughout Australia.
Collins recently decided to offer their product range through
a web site ecommerce shopping cart solution (available at

) and engaged leading Australian ecommerce specialist Strategic
Ecommerce.
Strategic Ecommerce prepared a thorough implementation, management
and marketing strategy for the Collins online shop.
The plan involved targeting retail customers
through visibility in search egnines and corporate accounts
through offering an automated and up to date ecommerce solution
capable of displaying private information (such as pricing
and previous orders) fro account customers.
Although marketing work is ongoing, Collins
has already won a contract with a top 50 Australian mining
company because of his ability to supply a quality online
ordering facility.
Mr Ian Collins, Managing Director of Collins said that many
of his government and corporate customers have been demanding
this ecommerce capability.
